Due
to the urgent needs for advanced information technology (IT) professionals
in industry, in research, as well as in academy, Graduate Institute of
Informatics for doctoral degree program has been established in 2005 to meet
the needs. In view of industry, the graduates aim at applying IT to promote
industry development, enhance business competitiveness, and advance national
scientific and economic growth. In terms of research, our graduates could
join related research institutes and organizations to enhance research
development. In academic field, our graduates could play an important role
in training and educating the youth in order to meet the future needs. The
institute provides multi-discipline curriculum based on the integration of
the resources of College of Informatics. The institute focuses on two
research fields, ˇ§Mobile Computingˇ¨ and ˇ§Digital Contentˇ¨, because of
their high priorities in our nation's research agenda as well as in the
major IT's developments and trends. |
